Have a growing list of big ideas, half-finished projects, never-ending design to-dos?
Grab a Design Day!
Do you have a design project you’ve been struggling to get started?
Or maybe some website tweaks, photo edits, an ebook mockup, new logo formats, workbook cover and a whole list of other bits and pieces that just keeps getting longer… and longer!
A Design Day can take it all on!
Think of it as a creative partnership in turbo mode. One day, total focus, and a big tick off your design hit list.
That sounds great, but…
What is a ‘Design Day’?
Think of it as a creative intensive, with design, copy, and strategy all rolled into one focussed day.
Instead of dragging projects out for weeks or months with endless emails, reviews, and “getting back into it,” we cut through the noise and get things done efficiently. You’ll have my undivided attention on your brand for a full day, with regular check-ins for feedback along the way.
Sometimes that means ticking off a long list of smaller jobs, such as website tweaks, social graphics, or copy edits… and sometimes it means diving deep into one bigger project, where I can bring design, copy, and even a dash of coaching into play to help you move forward with clarity.
It’s fast, efficient, collaborative, and surprisingly fun. We ride the energy and momentum of the day so you leave with real progress you can actually use straight away.
If you need more than one day, that’s no problem as you can book multiple days back to back for larger projects. And if you’d like ongoing monthly support, I offer that too.
How does it work?
1 - Book Your Day
Get in touch for an intro chat to ensure that I am good fit for your needs. We’ll then book in a day when you can be mostly available and don’t already have big commitments scheduled.
2 - Prepare
Complete the Design Day ‘Hit List’ (or your own notes) at least a week before the day so I can review ask questions or provide any pre-work. We’ll also have a short Voxer chat a few days before to go over the plan for the day.
3 - Design Day
This is where all the magic happens! I’ll be in my hyper-focus design zone for an 10-12 hour window (this may flow into the following day) and will check in with you regularly throughout the day for feedback along the way.
4 - Follow up
I will tie up any loose ends and send you all files and materials within 48 hours. There will be a two-week support period immediately after the Design Day where you can ask any questions relating to the work completed.
Your Investment: £800
Important note: when booking a Design Day (or multiple Design Days) you are paying for my undivided time and expertise to get as much done from your priority list as possible, not the specific deliverables. This will be discussed in advance to set realistic expectations and I will work as efficiently as I can I wont guarantee what will be completed in the timeframe.

We’ll chat in voice and text notes mostly using Voxer, but attachments or longer messages may also be sent via email.
Corresponding this way maintains the quick responses, flexibility and fluidity that is such a big part of the overall experience.
-
Voxer is a free app similar to WhatsApp (but I use this for business only) and you can listen to audio in real time - it's like a walkout-talkie!
You’ll simply download the app on your phone (there is a desktop option too), add me as a contact (johodson), and we’ll be able to connect instantly with both voice and text.
This won’t involve any video chat (so don't worry if you are wearing pyjamas or haven't washed your hair - I will never know!) ;-)
-
Let’s have a chat about what you are looking to achieve and get a clearer picture of how a Design Day could work for your project. Email me or even better, drop me a note on Voxer (@johodson)

Design Days are perfect if you have a bunch of small design tasks to tackle or a project that can be completed in a single day. Many of my clients are launching new businesses and need help getting things set up, or maybe you’re shifting the direction of your business and need help brainstorming and rebranding a for fresh new look.
I can tackle a single bigger project too, but there is no absolute guarantee of how much can be achieved in a day.
I work with clients in the wellness and creative industries. -
After our initial chat you pay your deposit, I’ll send you simple resources to complete that will help ensure we are on the same page when it comes to the project. I will also create a shared folder where all files and resources will be contained.
-
Design Days typically cover a 10-12 hour window… when I say an entire day I really mean it!
I typically work between 9-5pm and then may carry on into to evening or wrap things up the following day, depending on my calendar and your needs or time zone. -
No. We will not be on the email/Voxer all day, but I do need you to be available to answer fairly quickly.
Typically mid morning and mid afternoon are the business times for needing your attention and feedback, so try to make sure you are undisturbed around those times.
-
Yes, If you have a project that will take more than a day we can discuss booking multiple days. If a project overruns or you extend/add tasks as the day progresses, you also have the option of booking an extra half day to pull everything together.
If you are looking for support on an ongoing basis, I also offer montly brand collaboration.
-
During our initial chat I will aim to give you a very good idea of what I will be able to accomplish during the day. Although I work quickly and efficiently it is important to make clear that you are not purchasing a specific end result, but a block of my undivided time, which may mean not everything on the list can be completed. I will provide resources that help you prioritise tasks to get the most from the day.
-
Yes, I provide two weeks of email and Voxer support immediately following the Design Day to answer questions about the work completed and provide any additional resources as needed.
-
50% is payable at the time of booking in order to confirm your Design Day date, with the remaining balance to be paid at least 48 hours before the start of our Design Day.
If you need to pay in more instalments we can discuss this, however full payment for the work completed will need to be settled prior to final files being sent to you.
-
I don’t offer refunds for anything other than extreme circumstances, but if you need to reschedule your day then that’s ok, but please ask that you request a reschedule no later than 7 days before of your scheduled day so I can aim to fill your spot. You’ll have 3 months to rebook your Design Day with me.
-
I’m the UK, but I’m happy to work with clients in other time zones and can offer a slightly staggered time slot where needed, let’s have a chat to see how we can make it work.

Feedback from clients:
"I had witnessed Jo’s authenticity, determination and passion for life, long before I found out she was a designer and copywriter. Upon this realisation, I immediately visited her website and could instantly see she was the person I wanted to work with. Her style is professional, vibrant and fresh. Additionally, to find a creative person who also has the technical knowledge is a rare find.
Jo has done a number of design projects for me and also assisted with changes at short notice. She effectively communicated throughout the project and the results are always wonderful to open. The designs that Jo creates serve to make my company's marketing strategies professional and ultimately successful." - Olivia Beardsmore - Empowerment Event Organiser
“We have loved collaborating with Jo, she is excellent at understanding what’s required from a new recipe, visual shot or ebook for a brand and works hard to produce exactly what’s required for her clients” - Julie, RealFoodSource
“I had you in my mind, I trust you, you have such a good eye for design, you’re honest and you a great writer too. You’re seeing things ahead of me and coming up with solutions that I haven’t yet seen.” - Leila, branding client
A bit about Jo…
I've been featured in these places…
Hi, I’m Jo, quietly unconventional, multi-passionate and building a life far from ordinary. On the surface, I’m your average introvert-next-door, but in reality? I’m a late-diagnosed ADHDer, multi-biz owner of over a decade, massive chocolate lover and currently living nomadically from my self-built camper van, creating from mountains, coastlines and coffee shops across the UK and Europe.
I’ve immersed myself in the wellness world in both life and business since 2011, as a recipe blogger, health coach, food brand founder, designer and coach.
I have written for a number of national and international publications and my work has been featured across many platforms. I have created a number of digital products, and have worked with many brands on food photography and styling as well as my own health food business.
Day to day I love to hang out on Instagram
